Looks like a sawn off flight suit of some kind. Very many WW2 German jackets are in fact Dutch coats that have been cut in half.

The jacket is a cut down Colvinex, one-piece, heated flightsuit used by the USN very late in WW2 and into Korea

and there was me thinking it was the holy grail of jackets! ;) Seriously it's yet another butchered Colvinex suit.

Pretty cool actually, a friend of mine picked one up (uncut) a few years back and had a hard time moving it for 400- At least it'll see some use this way.
