I decided to sew a patch of the 18th separate helicopter detachment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on my A-1.

On February 10, 2012, the Department of Defense began sending peacekeepers, as well as property and equipment necessary for the deployment of the Armed Forces' 18th Separate Helicopter Detachment to the United Nations Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The Ukrainian helicopter detachment with a total number of 157 people performed its tasks together with the Indian infantry brigade, providing air cover for the ground operations of the UN Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Ghost of Kyiv" (Ukrainian: Privid of Kiev) is an urban legend about a Ukrainian military ace pilot who, using a MiG-29 of the Ukrainian Air Force in February 2022, in the first 30 hours from the start of the Russian invasion in the battles for Kyiv, shot down six Russian aircraft.

My wife and I went to a flea market today. Nothing for me but she picked up a pair of aviator coveralls complete with Conmar zips and a couple of Army Air Forces stamps.
Am I a lucky guy or what!
