Pulled the trigger on this "H&L Block AN-6552" and now that I'm looking at it more it looks very wrong to me (knits, lining, and placement of tag). Whatchall think? I'll update this upon receipt to advise adl details: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=280960145930

Update: It's a Talon zipper per seller (which would be correct for this contract). So that gives me a little more hope

I'd agree but I've seen some that are this off sage color before, but then again I'm no expert and have never handleded one of these model g1s before sonipl trust what others have to say :lol:

Never seen a G-1 with this color of mouton. I have had one in dark brown..and now have a Martin Lane in a rust color mouton..but this seems very unusual.

I would say definitely not mission accomplished yet. Still skeptical that the knits and mouton are original. However, I am more confident that it's an original H&L 6552. I do this crap all the time: get super pumped for a listing (really quickly), then strike with emotion and not brain. Sometimes it ends in my favor, sometimes it ends in extra trips to the liquor cabinet (which btw I just restocked with three bottles of laphroaig 10, and one bottle of Eagle Rare )

These Blocks supposedly fit big, and this one measures out consistent with that claim. Going off the sellers description, this one is close to my sz 40 Kelso monarch. Plus, I am obsessive compulsive when it comes to the Bay
