VERY interesting patch there on the "General's" jacket , does anyone recognise this unit emblem ????????
It "appears" to be a letter "C' or "O' with an object/Bomb/????? zeroing in on it on the star ........................

Man I sure wish color film was more prevalent back then , that would be a great one in color !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the photo. Close to a reproduction I purchased off ebay. It's painted on a stiff canvas material. Never have found an original of this one, but the unit did exist.

It may just be a letter "C" on the meatball star or it could be a "C" flight of some specific Squadron/Group , we'll probably never know , too many of these old "Unknown's" are out there and unless someone knows the background they get lost to history a shame but it happens, we may never know......................................
