Interesting. Those pictures can be found at a historical site on the web. Very high quality images. The patches, too. I wouldn't necessarily buy a poster of them, though.
I know these are rare but I sure have to think there are others out there. These caps appear to have been personalized more than about any other piece of war-worn gear and I can't imagine they were tossed out like worn out surplus.
I do ask any AF vet who served in Korea about caps of any sort. I met one who had been stationed in Japan but he was in maintenance and said there were the guys who had them but they were bomber crews. We know that much.
