Great stuff Buster. Can never see too many aircrews - each is a worthy tribute.

This pic is flipped. See the patches on the right front and the backwards windflaps?

Jeff, where do you find those amazing pics? I wonder if we have an archive here in MN that would be worth investigating.
Cheers

There are thousands of AAF pics there as well as other things. They have
the best wartime pics available for free download that I have ever seen.
They were from canisters of wartime negatives that were found apparently.
Finding certain people is almost impossible though. I tried finding shots of some
of the guys jackets that I have with no luck after over 2hrs of researching.
Still an awesome site for various pics though!

In the first picture are those 422/ANJ-3A/An/6552/G-1 type jackets? Sure look like it. Looks like they are also USAAF people not Navy. So could some trading have gone on??? Or is it a B-10?? Can't tell for sure.

Jeff, thanks for posting these- particularly like the top one. I love the tone of the left hand jacket- I thought it was just wear but it seems he's been lying on his back in the dust- not only on the jacket but his cap and trousers!

Looks as if the collection does not include post war nylon jackets. I still have a series on Laser Disk that contained hundreds of thousands of photos like this. Unfortunately, with the old technology, the images are only NTSC 525 lines of resolution. I should dig out the disks and see of the old LD machine still works.
