Hi guys what do you think of this? Seen it around here for sale at €100, needs heavy repair but I've done sheepskin restoration before and have a bag of sheepskin, worth it or no, what do you reckon? I know they're pretty rare jackets

USN Sheepskin is notoriously fragile. If you can repair something like that, you have a very bright future in flight jacket restoration! I would be afraid that more holes would form just handling and working on the jacket. The price is cheap though.

Cheers Sky, last one I repaired, I shaved around the hole, glued around the back, glued around the patch edges and blended/pressed it in, finally I coloured the patch to match the original, it's fine work, stitching doesn't work, I watched a few restoration programs on it once and they repaired a historical Irvin that was practically in pieces

Know what you mean though about fragile, I once repaired a original US sheepskin flight jacket of my own, took ages, although not as bad as this, I'll have a crack at anything
