Here are some more...from this rarely documented period before Korea. Note the the 4th back patch is the same as the 81st in the previous thread. These shots were taken at the USAF fighter meet in 1950 is it possible that these patches were produced for this event?
This is Capt. Vermont Garrison, who was a ace with the 4th Fighter Group in WW2. He later claimed 10 Migs destroyed while flying F-86's with the 335th FS/4th FIW in 1953. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vermont_Garrison
