I reckon it's a 50's civilian jacket.

The label/designation, the zipper, and quilt linings were only used by eddie bauer on B-9's and should be labled as such.

Plus there's no such jacket as a B-8.

That's right. I guess I should have been more clear, when I said designation, that's what I meant. At least this guy advertises it as a 50's jacket. I love the guys that are adament they have a WW2 jacket. Oh well, buyers really should do some homework before buying anyhow.

Yeah it's not a bad looker and if it appeals... This seller has had quite few navy jackets, including orig ww2. I'm quite surprised (but maybe I shouldn't be) they stuffed this one. Like you say do the homework.
