Up for sale is my Goodwear 39 Werber (2951P) A2 Jacket.
Created by John Chapman and listed on his website - July 2009
Whilst its labelled as a 42 its more shaped as a size 40 I feel.
Details -
Pit to Pit - 21.5 inches
Front (Zipper length) - 22.5 inches
Sleeve length - 24.5 inches
Epaulet - 7 inches
Armpit to end of waistband - 14 inches
Back (Shoulder to Shoulder) - 18 inches
Back length - 24 inches

Hookless Zipper - works perfectly.
Fits great but I just prefer my Eastman 33 Werber so out it goes.

First time I have attempted to put pictures up so if the links from Photobucket fail
PM me for pictures by email.
(And If they do not work would welcome any guidance on getting them shown )

Pictures taken by me this morning and a few from John's website.

If you want a Goodwear and want a great price. Step forward please.

Price £200 + Shipping to anyway

you have a number of nice jackets for sale. Too bad they are all too small for me. This GW and the ELC 50. cal look very nice and great prices! Good luck (but you won't need it). Should all move quickly! :)

PS - looks like you might have hot watered some of them? If so, let everyone know. If not, sorry for the suggestion.

Hi Paddy,
Its the same jacket.
The purchaser felt it was a little tight in the shoulders he states in the description.
Of course Werbers are reasonably tight fitting in cut so he has chosen to sell on using Ebay

Buggeration!! I wish I'd seen it originally on here in time (missed by an hour or so), as at £200 that was a real gift and would have fitted me to a tee. Hey, ho...C'est la vie.

Anyway, thanks for clearing that up.

Ditto on that Paddy, I would have taken all three of the jackets that were offered. All were in my size. Pity as I still don't have a GW and have never seen one in person, just photos.

It's me selling on ebay. An absolutely beautiful jacket but was definitely smaller than stated. No offence intended but I know the difference between a tight fitting/trim cut jacket and something that is too small.

I gave this a slight stretch with some warm water (no dryer involved) just enough to pad out the jacket and give it a litlle room. Prior to this the chest measurement was on 21", it's now 21.5". The shoulders remain 17.25"/17.5" which is considerably less than 18". I'm not annoyed by this I just guess we sometimes have different ways of measuring.

It's my guess, judging by the leathers characteristics, that this has had a hot water treatment at some point as there is some major character in the hide and it would have shrunk a little during the process. If this is not the case I can't fathom out why it was labelled as a 42".
