Unusual A-2

Gone, but not forgotten.
I read it as Warmart, the vendor/dealer, themselves changed the lining, and the right knit cuff.

I have seen a few like this over the years, they were worn by American Airborne officers using parachute silk for the lining (more usual was cutting the material up and using it as a scarf as seen on many airborne troops on D-day and beyond.) I like it!

That'll teach me to look before I leap. Yes, the text does seem to say that Warmart (great name!) changed the liner and cuffs, which makes the jacket rather less interesting as a historical document...and surely way overpriced?

Oh yeah, size 40, and they want an opening bid of 250,000.00 JPY = 2,700.00 USD.

Good luck with that.

The thing is that listing on Yahoo is so cheap it probably doesn't matter too much if items don't sell. Some dealers probably use it as much as advertising space while collectors may see it as a sort of gallery space for their prized items. I've seen some items listed on Yahoo for literally years.
