Size 46 Sheeplined A2s are quite rare. This one has been re-painted a darker seal later in the War.

Size, number of this contract produced, and condition, which looks pretty good, should fetch a high price. Over four days left, and already past the 1000 mark.

The contract was for 25,000 jackets, but I suspect only a small proportion were size 46s.

Yes a depot job. You can see where the paint has seeped on to the lining and coloured the thread.

For better or worse I'm the new owner of this jacket. I contacted the owner prior to the end of the auction and he assured me the jacket was in like new condition with the exception of the moth damage to the knits. As soon as I get the jacket and some free time I'll post some pictures if I can break the code for photobucket.
