ULTRA RARE 1937 WHITE SKIN B-3

It has been several years since one of these came up for sale on Ebay. The 2063-P no name B-3 was the second B-3 contract made and the numbers made must have been very small. This one has some issues including the price!

good catch, andrew. interesting how very different this original is from any of the early b-3s offered by repro makers, even considering the contract diff. there was one in a vintage shop in ny, several years ago, in better condition, size 38, and the asking price was $2000. hhmmmm....would be nice to see one of the repro makers get the pre war b-3 details right.

Vic, do you think there would be sufficient demand for one to make a repro worthwhile especially as ELC already make a 1937 S.F.A.D. B-3.

made properly, with attention to detailing, reckon so. perhaps an acquired taste, but never the less, unique.....and we all know about jacket freakers and unique. made properly, i would consider one. of course, i would have to kick it around the studio for a week or so, chuck it out the window, let the dog use for a bed, etc...just to dull out the snow white look. could be a new look, apres ski b-3

I don't think anyone in my town would understand the historical aspect of it. They would probably think I had borrowed my girlfriend's coat or had become somewhat "flamboyant". :?

Never seen one of these before but I love it. I imagine most of these ended up pretty filthy looking?
