There used to be a telephone number helpline in My ebay, but I can no longer find it. Can anyone help with the UK number ?
Thanks,

Thanks David,
It is impossible to find the number on My ebay. I was in dispute because a buyer wanted a refund on a jacket because US customs took 5 days to clear it, so he opened a case against me.
It is sorted now, but I will think very carefully about selling to the US in future and may only sell to Europe. Customs are a real pain and a barrier to selling.

No, you can't do that. The value and therefore the amount insured has to be written on the customs declaration.
The buyer just said ' he was very upset that the jacket was held in customs and so wanted a full refund '

Don't you just love them? My favourite buyers were the ones that insisted on a courier service, with full insurance .... then blamed me for the duty. :?

I thought he was a nutter until I phoned him up today and explained that I had lost a nights sleep about chargebacks and me paying import duty on my own jacket ...Then he told me that he gave the postman permission to leave it unattended on his porch....I checked with Parcelforce Worldwide about a claim for a loss... they need the original purchase invoice and Paypal proof of payment also all postage and customs declarations ...He was actually a very nice reasonable man, which just shows how the printed word is just that, with out emotion.
He mailed back to say it had arrived 20 minutes ago and had left me superb feedback !!
International selling is it worth it ??

The jury's still out, but I'm glad to hear that this one is resolved. It's certainly easier to buy/sell on the forum.

Such things will likely be more prevalent with the recent increased security measures being taken by US customs re. inbound packages.
