Hello,

I try to find, without success, the maker of this Dubow A-2. Quite distinctive so, some of you may know who made it.

Thanks

Oh please, do not leave us hanging on the story of THAT conversation! :D
LOL! Well, I had purchased one of the Lost Worlds A-2s, my first, in probably 1993. I ended up trading it about a year later for a well worn Cable original. I was in the market for another new jacket in 1995 or 1996 but Stuart had changed the pattern. I told him I would buy another, but not with the funny pocket flaps since I had never seen an original with such pronounced scallops. He wasn't happy, but unbelievably, he produced a photo of an original with the same pocket flaps! I don't know if it was a Dubow or not, and to this day I don't doubt it was an original but I would think it was an anomaly. Shortly after that he went back to something close to the original style and I bought another. It is the jacket seen here: https://www.vintageleatherjackets.org/threads/repro-a-2-jackets-with-hard-use-lets-see-yours.21817/

Over the past 25 years, I have owned probably eight of the LW jackets in various iterations, even one with a Scoville zipper and red and white size tag (an extremely early example), but the ones with the funny pocket flaps I would never own.

Lost Worlds!!!
Because they always use wrong label on their Dubow 27798. And the curve of pocket flaps is not authentic as the original at all.
