Now that I have a copy of "Full Gear...", I'd like to translate the Japanese to English. Is there a decent translation program that will allow me to translate by scanning the page or similar?

The Google translate mobile app has an option that allows realtime translation using the camera of your mobile phone. It's a bit temperamental but works reasonably well.
