Could be or could just be some plucky fellow up in the nose who decided to take a snap. Forgot to mention that they're attacking the German cruisers "Scharnhorst" and "Gneisenau" in dry-dock which was quite a big deal, so perhaps probable it's an "official" snap.

Thanks Smithy, my instinct is it was. I recall reading somewhere that loaded Lanc's were often able to fly higher than the Halifax.Brave men all.
