Three A2s from Japanese dealer

I'm not sure you could call him a "dealer" as the listings are not in the slightest bit "professional". The lack of description of maker of the last one (being a collector you would think he would know the maker), failure to detail condition of any of the jackets, and just a single poor photo, could mean these may well sell for low prices.

It's odd that he's still seemingly buying stuff yet is possibly to going to end up selling these for significantly less than he paid for them. It's going to be a bit of a lottery buying any of these, not knowing what sort of shape the jackets will be in, but I'm definitely keeping my eyes on them as it seems a good chance to get an original A-2 for a good price.

If he is a dealer then presumably he must have a actual shop rather than a webshop or selling on Yahoo Japan as he seems not clued up about selling online eg. using good photos and descriptions.

He's bid on a few of my original sales as well but never won. His bidding and now selling habits just suggest to my amateur Psychologist mind that he's a classic example of obsessive compulsive or in other words has a bad case of Jacketisis. Has to get them quickly but has to get rid of them even faster. A little like all of us really.

He has 0 feedback as a seller so has not sold stuff before, at least not on eBay. Perhaps he has suddenly hit hard times?

From that POV, I can understand - though I don't approve of - the skimpy description and pictures.
An OCD collector doesn't want to admit to what he really has. He might not ever forgive himself!

There is an advert from him with a shop address on p. 148 of Hell-Bent for Leather. IMO he's a collector/dealer, buying in the USA and re-selling in Japan. Now he's shifting some of his less desirable purchases.

Andrew -- was that the reprinted version or original Hell Bent? The original came out quite a while ago which would mean he's been in the biz for a long time.

It's the 2002 edition, but I suspect he has been around for a long time. He has bought much on Ebay in the last couple of years, paying high prices for original A2s and B3s. I suspect he obtained them through other means before this and is now off-loading his inferior contracts as a newbie Ebay seller.

Seller cancelled bids presumably due to an offer from another source...I'm not against sellers pulling items from eBay and selling privately but I don't think canceling bids is good form.

Not a good look, is it? Yet eBay seem quite happy ....

If there are bids on your item, select either “Cancel bids and end listing early” or “Sell item to high bidder.” If your item has no bids, you can skip this step.

Yes, it's odd how eBay have backtracked or done a complete about face on some things, especially those that will obviously result in them losing money! I guess since it's now seen by them as perfectly acceptable one shouldn't be judgemental and have a negative perception of such actions.

Did any of his jackets go to members here? Would be interesting to know if they got their money's worth. I wonder if this was an attempt at reverse psychology? Probably not, but...bad photos and poor descriptions leads a bidder to think that no matter what they're paying the jacket must be worth more.
