I have a Buzz Rickson L-2A with green lining that has faded to almost grey on the outer sleeve. Purchased this way, but must have been in a harsh environment for a long time before anybody gave a stuff.

The UV treated version was a catalogue item..

The price is right...for now..

The seller's use of the word "washing" indicates his lack of knowledge of what he's selling. As Couchy says, this is a repro of a jacket subjected to UV light. I'm guessing this did happen to some nylon, as it was undoubtedly an original found by one of the Japanese companies that led them to make these...unless it was an orange nylon jacket that had turned green!

BR did this as well, with lesser harsh discoloration. RMC have taken it to an unbeatable level, bar nuclear radiation.

So this was done on purpose ? The Japanese are odd beings sometimes. :?

I think I've seen similar distressing done to jeans and leather jackets...takes all sort, I guess. Next thing you know they'll be washing cloth jackets in sea water!
