I don't understand, the all sales final thing. From what I understand e-bay and pay-pal will make you refund, good reason or not, am I wrong?

You are not wrong. If the item is not as described, and a few other qualifiers, eBay and Pay Pal will have you send it back to teh seller and they will refund, including shipping costs. In fact they now even send a label to send the item back.
