It does look a little bit contrived to me with the inverse panels being the opposite color. I think Eastman's Perry B-3 is a better looking jacket.

Some nice jackets, not sure about the' Jack of Spades' look on the B-3 though. The Eastman Perry is just about right but this one might look very odd to some people.

Thanks for posting, John. Interesting jackets, but I'm with you on the patchwork B-3 - too over the top! Their "redskin" doesn't look right in my mind, too. I don't understand why the Japanese, who seem so obsessed with authenticity most of the time, make B-3s with collars too large and with fleece too thick, or A-2s with hides and knit too thick. I think I recall hearing that it's their way of appeasing the buyer dropping the big bucks, creating a sense of something very substantial for the money being spent, or it could be, with respect to the A-2, a need for a heavier knit in conjunction with the heavier hides.

I must say, I do like the suede A-1 for women, and the black jacket that looks like a B-6 is more appealing than I'd have thought it would be. It's also nice to see the HLB A-2 being copied, presumably from the one depicted on acmedepot.com. I find myself more drawn to the civie jackets than any of the leather military jackets; if I wanted to drop the big coin on great leather, it would definitely not be for something military.

had a look at the catalogue and to be honest, I don't really like any of the jackets - the shearlings look ok but the A2s and the USN jackets all look a bit naff to me.

The contract specs all look at bit off, especially the Roughwears.....don't look as good as ELC and not a patch on GW.

Just my opinion :)

I have seen some really nice Few jackets in the past, but from the pics these A2s look rather like plastic jackets. The colour of the Perry A2 is so wrong and resembles dogs muck! In terms of accuracy they are inferior to GW jackets. For the inflated price of one jacket you could almost buy two originals.

Love the lining on the "custom king Airborne A2" model.
(Linked to on the side bar)
And for $2600 + (customs and shipping not included), such a deal !!

They do buy Eastman and Aero jackets. I think Aero sell wholesale to some Japanese outlets.
