Star Mfg. Co. G-1 Question

I have a G-1 Made by Star Manufacturing that I got on eBay recently. I bought thinking it would be a replacement for a Ralph Edwards I've had forever which I thought was perished. Not so for the RE and that one is being restored as I write this. The tag numbers are:

JACKET, FLYING, MAN'S
INTERMEDIATE, TYPE G-1
MIL-J-7823D(WP)
8415-268-780
STAR SPORTSWEAR MFG. CO.
DSA 00-70-C-0483
SIZE 44

I understand this to mean that it was made in 1970. It appears to be goat skin. The collar is definitely dynel. The waist band is definitely original, but the cuffs are non-original replacements and do not match in color and were sewn badly with different color thread. I'm thinking of replacing them even though I'm not certain that the expense is warranted.

The leather is in excellent condition although at some point someone put a clasp back name tag on it, leaving 2 holes in the front.

Your thoughts on repairing it?

P.S. My last attempt at posting a picture wasn't all that great, so if you'd like pictures, I'll need advice

These are photos from the eBay description. I have attempted to show the jacket overall, the maker's tag, the non-original, poorly sewn cuffs and the name tag holes below the collar tab. I can try for more if needed

It is hard to tell by the pics, but the replacement job looks good, at least they used the same holes and it didn't ruin the leather or those are the original cuffs but super dirty/faded. You can repair it but normally when you replace the cuffs you have to replace the waistband as well, that way they both match. That job can be a bit expensive if it's done properly plus the materials. If you are patient, you can find an example from that same contract in better condition for the same price of the repair.

I'll try to get a close up of the cuffs. To me, the threads seem to be a different color than on the rest of the jacket. However, I agree that the repair would be more than the worth of the jacket. Just thought about being kind to an "old flyer". I'll check around though, I may have a set of cuffs lying around and, if so, and if I can find local talent to sew them... But that's a lot of ifs for a G-1 that I won't be keeping anyway. Maybe offering it with matching cuffs if found to someone on the forum?

Yes, a close up would be interesting. Still wondering if the cuffs are a replacement or they are the originals in super dirty/faded condition.

Here are close-ups of the cuffs. Note that the thread is a bit thicker and a different color that the thread on the rest of the jacket. I have also put one of the proposed replacements on/by the waistband for comparison. Your thoughts?

As an aside, I've moved form a larger house (3500 sq. ft. + attic & 2 car garage into a much smaller (1068 sq .ft. condo + no attic & no garage. I have a 100 sq. ft. storage space that is so full that I can't get in, let alone store more items. Somewhere in there are 4 or 5 G-1 flight jackets. They are generally neither rare nor valuable and of various sizes. I have rescued them from yard sales, etc. When I can get to them, I'd be happy to give them to members for the cost of shipping, but don't know if this is feasible, permitted, etc. I don't have enough posts to put them on the "for Sale" area and don't even know if that's the best venue. Again, your thoughts? Thanks.
