Here is info on bumper markings...all I can tell you is the 6 on the drivers side shows sixth in the pecking order chain of command for the unit/////so if all the units jeeps were lined up this one would be 6th in line...

Dig the pic of the jeep, because of the tool box in the backround. I am working on a tool box for a WWII display, very little photgraphic evidence of tool box usage...this appears to be an old Kennedy box. These had leather wrapped handles attached with D rings on the box....One latch in the center...
