Cool photos, as usual!

I believe photo #1 (War Baby crew) is actually sometime after the Ploesti raid. The crew is in Sweden being escorted by Swedish police after they ditched there and were interned.

It's a great shot, interesting angle showing them in full flight gear incl comms, goggles etc- all that would've been stripped from them if captured. Plus the fashions of the locals are interesting.

Yes, one of the locals, probably some kind of military police, looks like a hotel concierge.

The sheepskins all looks so soft and shiny. No Broken Finishes any where.

The zippered cuff could be a captured jacket, but the puller looks too large. German one's I think were smaller.

alway good to see wnter combat jackets on airmen

Yep. One thing I always notice though, their cuffs are a lot longer than those on any of the reproductions.

I was watching Saving Private Ryan the other day and noticed Tom Sizemore's tanker looked to have pretty long cuffs. Only got to the end of the D-Day invasion scene, so I can't account for the rest of the flick off hand.
