Size Of Jacket ?

There's a jacket listed on eBay, the seller said it was tagged sz40. But the measurements don't seem to match, especially the shoulder to shoulder seam of 16 1/4, most sz 40s are in the ~18". Is this a sz 40 ??

Was tagged 40R on the massive MADE IN USA tag that was removed. Jacket fits me and I have a 45 inch chest. Measurements: Armpit to Armpit - 22 1/4", Shoulders - 16 1/4", Sleeve - 30 3/4", Epp - 5 7/8, Back - (from collar seam to base of waist knit) - 24 1/4", Zipper - 20 5/8".

It's possible, it depends on the pattern, what might be narrow on a Rough Wear is okay on a Dubow. I have size 42s that measure 17".

Anyway, the seller is one of us, no doubt he'll soon take a break from his other duties, and be along to explain.
