Fully agree, but also ELC has only incorrect pocket flaps, especially when compared with the last ELC pic on its AN-J-4 comparison table .

Sorry forgot this photo.. would be happy to see one correct ELC AN-J-4 with the correct pocket flaps/matching the makers pattern , reference on the ELC sales page for AN-J-4 jackets.

If Simons from Shanghai they stated it was based on RRL jacket , not an exact copy of ANJ4.

Large pocket flaps or not it isn't fetching much money and is at £255 finishing at 14:49 BST today. Like most of these it is small for the stated size but it might be a bargain for someone. SB sheepskins are really well made from good materials.

I don't think you would buy a military type repro from SB if you wanted total accuracy. ELC maybe you would.

But SB does make a lovely sheepskin jacket and Kelly there who does them used to be the best sheepskin machinist at Aero before she went over to the dark side well over a decade ago. The best two shearlings I ever had were made by her. One at Aero and the other at SB.
