Great pictures, Stu. I especially like the autogyro shot; you don't see those too often. Thanks!

Some very baggy jackets there, so much for the trim vintage fit idea.
Thanks,

You mean like this one? :D

What shade of leather do you think that civvie SAT was? BTW, you must be a professional photo researcher, Stu, ' cause if you're not, you should be! EXCELLENT!

Thanks Dean,

I used to be a photographer, and once applied to get a job in a picture library (did't get it :) ) plus I do a lot of research for my misses who is a costume designer, so I'm well used to it. I'm a house husband for the most part at the moment, with two kids, once my youngest starts nursery it will be back to work and I just won't get the time any more.

"Wrong Way" Corrigan sporting another interesting jacket, and just to show you how these jackets hold up here's one a few years later!

The man at the far right appears to be wearing rthe patch of the 99th Observation squadron (Buffalo standing facing left) possibly this is the unit the aircraft in back are from.

I know Eastman's Brooklands coat is similar, but it's lapels are much more narrow than these early flying jackets. Does anyone know of anyone who makes a decent repro of the flying jacket most of these chaps are wearing?
