Hi All,

Long time without a post.

Anyone know how to remove these types of decals? Found on MA-1, L-2A, L-2B, , B-10, and B-15s made by Alpha, I. Spiewak, Greenbrier Mfg, Buzz Rickson, etc.

Thank you for any information

The type of decal and fabric will determine the method [chemical, heat etc, etc]. Assessment by someone experienced with the garment in hand is generally required but there is usually an element of experimentation and there are no guarantees. In short it is difficult, if not impossible, to remove them entirely without damaging the fabric or leaving unfaded areas where the decal used to be.

I could say [as some might] try x, y or z but if the inks bleed, material degrades / wrinkles / fades / you name it you won't thank me.

Thank you guys for the insight. I have seen quite a few Alpha 'Reprint' Models [MA-1, L-2B, L-2A, B-15] with decals almost completely faded, but, you are right, this is most likely a gamble.

If I can ask … why do you want them gone ?
If you just don’t like the appearance of them then why not consider a commercially made repro of the same jacket but without a Roundel? .
