so very typical for spiewaks. its puzzling as to why so many goat a-2s, and navy m series jackets have withstood the ravages of time, but not the spiewaks. every now and again there is the one that is not rotted, but thats an exception. an outstanding example of a spiewak sans rot is the one owned by dr swatland.
A pristine slender size 42 Spiewak was owned by me Vic, but recently sold to fund other purchases as it was really too trim a fit to be comfortable. I would like a decent example in a size 44 without the added rot!
Unfortunately, I owned this same jacket. That was about a full year ago. I kept it all of one day before I sent it back to the seller for a full refund. These are some photos I took before sending it back.
This Spiewak would have made for a nice original jacket if it were not for that rot!
Looks to me like that rot is progressing. Any suggestions on how much longer before that sleeve completely lets go?
