I've been recouperating from back surgery and I thought I'd break the cabin fever by going to the Air Force Museum not too far away from my apartment. They have some new aircraft on display and some interesting A-2s and other jackets on display. I apologize I just started using flickr and I'm not sure on how to embed these pictures like photobucket.

A note to all about the above pictures. They are tucked under the B-52's left wing in the middle hanger.

A-2 jacket belonging to one of the first MoH recipients in the AAF during WW2 (I didn't catch the name)

And lastly the Museum is having its biannual Liaison Aircraft fly-in in late September. Its nice to see the displays and the artifacts (jackets) go in for conservatio and updates.

Looks great Christos, love the artwork on Shooting in as well. Interesting to see the MOH Rec. also wore a pair of 1936 pattern RAF boots.

Get well soon!

I need to make it back over to Dayton. It's been a few years..and I'm sure things have changed considerably.

Thanks Van,
Yeah I kinda dropped off when the cows came home a few months ago but it's nice to be back.

Great pic of the Avrocar, they only recently finished restoring it after its stint as a gate guardian. It was built in Malton, just few miles from where I am now, along with the famed Avro Arrow and the Avro Jetliner.

That's really neat to hear Hawkeye. There were alot of people around it so I didn't get a chance to read the information that they have on the placards. I'll have to do some more research. I always thought the Goblin is pretty neat but I think the Avrocar might be a new favorite.
