Appreciate the post, odd thing about the A-2 is that the measurements make it a 44". You'd have to ask Paddy at RM how on earth it got a 50" tag. :?:

In fact, it's measurements are virtually identical to the size 46 Good Wear I recently listed.

Did you check the measurements? I would reckon it would fit someone usually wearing a 42 or 44 jacket. RM always oversize on their labels but this is a puzzling one..50!?!
My sz 40 jacket-
from pit to pit: 21"
front length: 21 3/4",
shoulder seam to the end of cuff: 23 3/4 ",
collar stand to the bottom of the waist band: 22 3/4",
shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 17 3/8"

This jacket -
20'' - Shoulders (straight across back at sleeve juncture)
24'' - Back between arm pits seams (jacket zipped)
24'' - Front between arm pits
27'' - Back length (base of collar to bottom of wool waistband)
23 1/2'' - Front length (top of windflap to bottom)
24 1/2'' - Sleeve (shoulder seam to end of knit cuff)

The measurements for jacket would make it about 2 sizes too big for me...pity, I really love Jerome's artwork on the back. Of course If I don't plan on wearing this jacket and just framing it, it wouldn't matter what size it was... ;)

A good BIN price but it is the painting that puts me off.

The McCoys sizing is crazy! I have a Dubow which is 46 but fits more like a 42. I heard that the sizing above 42 is not true as most of the market for their jackets is Japan.

I saw a 52 Dubow once at Beltring and it was no larger than my 46 when we measured them up.
