Real AVG Jacket?

Looks like the real deal. Someone would have to have a large set of balls to post a fake A.V.G jacket. Sean of a2jacketpatches knows the A.V.G Attorney and is dropping him a line on this.

Looks nice but when it gets to these kind of items - provenance, provenance, provenance.

These guys and their families all knew the AVG was special. A jacket like this should really have more to go on IMO.

Too risky otherwise as there are 10,000 other jackets out there for each AVG. What are the odds?

Can't see it being real, as Kenneth Jernstedt was quite a prominent man post war being a republic test pilot and then a State Senator in Oregon. The art work is a bit too lets say complete... victories, aircraft number plus Hells Angel and just to make sure if you were in any doubt AVG in large letters!

I'st he still alive, we could ask him!

Thanks for the photo, Well the 'hells angel' in the photo ain't the same as the one on the jacket. :D If she is missing her halo is she technically an angel? ;)

All the best

If you're going to fake a jacket - even in the 70's - do you have to do such a crap job?

I'm no artist and I can beat that one!

Just invited him to go to the A.V.G website, and check out the thread.

You know he probably won't. I am sure he has received a bunch of email on this jacket. and he has posted none of it on the sale page. if it were real he would post the email asking questions and defend his "jacket". the absence of such defense tells me it is a fake all the way. also where are the "do you have a buy it now" emails from guys who really want it and no what it is. a real good determination to a legit item in my opinion is how many "buy it now" requests the seller gets. If he is good he will post the emails, and say hey I am going to let the auction run its course.

We all know some guys get a BIN, they can't turn down and away goes the auction or all bids canceled we know the drill.....

JMO,

Gy Dan
