Found this interesting photo of two crew members of a RCAF Halifax although both appear to be RAF aircrew according to the insignia and caption...therefore interesting to see a B-3 worn by the RAF....

I figured stuff would be traded back and forth. A lot of RAF gear showed up in American hands. This is the first time I saw it the other way around.

I have seen examples before but rarely, as many RAF aircrew were trained Staeside they may well have obtained AAF kit there, looks good on this pilot!

Yep,that sounds right to me. A number of the veterans I knew that went to the ETO told me they traded a lot of stuff away. They said they traded watches, jackets, cigarettes, boots, and whatever they didn't want for all kinds of goodies.
