Purported "1943 AN-J-2"

This vintage civvy jacket is being advertised as a 1943 AN-J-2.

Not only wasn't there ever such a jacket issued by the Navy - and of course there's no label! - this one doesn't even have the swingback or belting. It's also lambskin, or the seller thinks it is.

I've written the seller and told him it's not Navy issue. At least he's not asking a whole lot for it.

Looks like a pretty typical Sears/Penny's/Wards HH or steer civilian A-2 from the'50's. Not a bad jacket, but, certainly not what the seller claims.
