I purchased a jacket yesterday that I am hoping someone can assist me with identifying....or at least guide me in the right direction.
I’ve been trying to find more information on this Italian leather jacket, but every damn search I do sends me to ebay, it seems.
I purchased this because I am a veteran, as is my father, my 2 brothers, both of my grandfathers...you get the picture. Anyway, I liked the look of the jacket when I saw it in a thrift store, the leather was butter soft when I touched it, and it was 7.00- no brainer based on price alone. But what REALLY caught my attention was the snaps on the jacket- they all had “US FORCE/ USA” on them. Since it was Italian leather (Vera Pelle tag on inside), and it appeared to have a little age to it, I was intrigued. I may be completely wrong- it may be a modern jacket...but just FEELS older, if tha makes sense.
So any help is appreciated- I can’t find ANYTHING on these snaps! There are no other labels or tags in the jacket other than the “M” size tag. I check all pockets, checked the removable collar- but the only other marker I found was something in the zipper pull.
Pls let me know if additional pics are needed- I’ll gladly supply anything that could help!

It's a modern "bomber jacket" as they are colloquially referred to, an homage to a flying jacket. It's not a military spec jacket by any means. In terms of age I imagine it dates somewhere around the 1980s to 2000s, although one of the more informed boffins might be able to give a more accurate date.

A good functional jacket nevertheless if not a military repro. Welcome to the forum BTW.
