Re: POLO RALPH LAUREN MENS LEATHER FUR JACKET BROWN VINTAGE
I definitely couldn't draw a bow up in an A2. A G1 probably helps having a bi-swing back but it'd have to be a better one than that. My favourite jacket for shooting if I need a coat is my WWII Denison Smock copy.
I could cut the Ralph Lauren jacket up to make some finger tabs out of it, but the price is a bit nasty for that. All it's good for though.
Re: POLO RALPH LAUREN MENS LEATHER FUR JACKET BROWN VINTAGE
There is one positive though - they know how to age leather better than any other company. Their jackets almost look legit, wear-wise. And hell, it's the same price as a GW - it's a steal
Re: POLO RALPH LAUREN MENS LEATHER FUR JACKET BROWN VINTAGE
generally speaking this jacket looks very good. at least RL likes this style enough to focus effort on it. some of the A-2's are looking pretty nice. I agree that the aging is particularly convincing.

They make good quality items, however overpriced. I have bought some RRL shoes, shirts, and pants @ big discounts and they're well made and of high quality. Put this way - they've done better than most brands at trying to do a decent repro for the fashion crowd. I can name a number of makers who's jackets don't come close. For the intended audience, they're OK.
Re: POLO RALPH LAUREN MENS LEATHER FUR JACKET BROWN VINTAGE
For that price, as well as the list price on this jacket (below)-it should be near faultless in every aspect. The reduced price in the link far better reflects the jackets true value.
If any repro maker charged the same for that exact same jacket there would be uproar. I've never liked the way a fashion house produces an often inferior product, or even worse, tries to improve it and then bumps the price up. Whatever way you look at it-it's an ill executed copy that someone is charging too much for.
Re: POLO RALPH LAUREN MENS LEATHER FUR JACKET BROWN VINTAGE
It's probably worth the discounted price when you factor in the labour that most likely made it. I doubt if it was hand crafted in the USA. Anything else is mark up for the name on the label.
Re: POLO RALPH LAUREN MENS LEATHER FUR JACKET BROWN VINTAGE
That's a fashion victims jacket. The money is in the name. If it had Avirex on the label at that price, folk would be rolling in the aisles. I detest that sort of thing.
