Just looked at the dramatic picture of the B17 crew in the life raft again and it dawned on me: that officer is still wearing his flighter! Pretty amazing under the circumstances, wouldn't you think?

More great pics Marcel. The fourth photo is interesting. The thunderbolt has British or maybe French markings but judging by the kit, the personnel are American.

Look at the uniform caps of many of the guys: from those experts can probably gleen what country they come from / fly for. Is that RAF?

I thought the same-don't think they're RAF though. Their kit looks American, but it doesn't look like their insignia are-the visor cap badges and epaulettes don't look like U.S. stuff. Get a load of the grain on Capt. Whislert's A-2! More great pics, Marcel.
