Interesting that the pull/release cords on the M-2 vests are external and not routed inside the cotton shell. Also, can anyone explain the helmets on either end?
Maybe a Wright Field testing photo? They don't appear otherwise dressed for a mission.

I don't know if anyone else sees it , but isn't that "Robin Olds" in the one grouping of photos sitting in the "Malcom Hood" P-51 ????????????

Very well could be. There was a whole photo album/patch/paperwork grouping from this late war 434thFS p-51 pilot for sale on a dealers site. I think that is where Marcel got the photos from. I looked at it more than once!
