Considering they appear to be setting up fitting the camera and connecting chute harness, most probably. Nice shot.

It looks like one of the early, natural finish contracts.

I agree with Peter - it must be an early B-3. If you look closely, you can make out the vertical chest buckle and it has that top collar edge strap that goes all the way to the short edge of the collar.
