Here's another photo of the guy in your first photo above:

Our pal A. J. Hunt, reenactor and all around good guy, still living in Norcal I think. Aren't all the photos reenactors? I hope nobody confuses him with an old WWII era guy. ;)

I know who it is, Skip! I photo shopped that picture to make it look WWII era!
Somebody in the UK selling a Bancroft Flighter added his picture:
"Just to clarify, the photo in the description is not Joe Miske, it is merely an example and is not part of the auction.
This cap came from the estate of a lifelong collector, and founder member of the B-17 preservation group over here in the UK."
Here's the color version of the first photo from the eBay listing:

Brian, I know you know who it is, you know AJ too. I looked at the listing as well and forwarded it to AJ, to see what he thinks of them using his mug as a vintage person. Too funny.

Yeah, But I wanted to see peoples reaction to the picture!. AJ has done some great reenacting gigs, including stuff for television. I don't think he wears the AAF uniforms anymore, ever since he joined the USAF. Now he has one he is entitled to wear, one he earned, and it's blue, not pinks & greens.

I still break out my stuff from time to time. Actually being in the service does give you a different perspective on things, though. My schedule has become so busy that I just can't do much anymore.

Interesting that people are using photos of me without my permission, but that's the risk of putting shots of yourself on the web.

Thanks for the heads up, guys. ;)

Whoops, don't know whether to laugh or not. One good reason for putting a watermark on anything you don't want reused.

Very cool inscription in the actual Crusher.
