Perry B3

This RMNZ B3 was an odd listing. Confused with a LW Dubow, badly listed with no description to speak of. By asking some questions I managed to prise out size dimensions but in the end I just thought it wasn't worth the risk as though it was listed as a 46 the seller thought it would only fit a 38.

Did anyone here win it ?

Wow! Someone snagged a bargain with this one John. Nice jacket which fits as a 44 I suspect.
Lost my bottle at the last minute ! Three project/orders in the works at the moment.

I notice the successful bidder put in three bids before the auction ended and no one bid again so if you had bid John, it could have gone quite a lot higher.

I think I bid 5 times near the end but pulled the pin as it can get silly when there are issues about the description. Quite unusual these days for a seller to have no clue about the item. It might have stayed lower but for a newbie who bid 30 times in five dollar increments.

Those 'nickel and dime' bidders have always irked me. Ebay should forbid those that chip away at bids. They are not serious bidders..they just like to pick away at others. I have contacted ebay about having a policy preventing it. You get a limited number of bids per item.
It will make bidders seriously consider each bid...particularly high end items.
As my Dad used to say...."sh!t or get off the pot".
Ok, my rant done...I do agree, someone got a bargain and do suspect it will re-surface due to the silly size estimates.

It's a real shame this original Perry B-3 was re-painted in a USAAF depot as it has destroyed much of its character. John will need to travel to the US to collect the jacket as the seller does not ship abroad! ;)

the whole damn thing was repainted. elbow patches, straps. snaps, etc. they did not spare the paint on this one. as my old friend george used to say, "lay it on thick, but not too thick".
