Gents,

Today I would like to share an original WWII example. This Type A-2 was made by United Sheeplined Clothing Co. under contract 42-18777-P awarded in May 1942.

This example is in unbelievable condition for being almost 80 years old. The leather is very supple and no patches were ever attached.

Original M-41 zipper is very firm and working perfectly.

Lining is spotless. This example has the AN stamp present from inspection. The original label was removed at some point but a perfect copy has been professionally reinstalled by the very same John Chapman. A mint pocket tag is still present. Size “44”.

Knits have some moth holes, which is very common due to the nature of the material.

That being said, hope you guys enjoy it!

Regards,
Jorge

While the numbers tell the story , the photos don’t look like there’s much of a difference between the two sizes . There’s basically 1/2 to 1 inch differences in the numbers . Fairly close .
Yes, not much variation with the numbers but definitely you feel the extra room on the 44.

Interesting that both of your use jackets appear to be in the slightly lighter russet. I have handled a few, and owned one, and they were in a slightly darker russet. Also, the hides were almost mc jacket weight. a knock out, Jorge.
