ORIGINAL L.W. FOSTER SPORTSWEAR CO., INC TYPE G-1 INTERMEDIATE FLIGHT JACKET MIL-J-7823 (AER)

Gents,

Today I would like to share a mint example of the G-1 from the first series of the 7823. This contract DA-36-243-QM(CTM)2134 was awarded by L.W. FOSTER SPORTSWEAR CO., INC. in fiscal year, 1958.

Finding this example in nearly new condition after more than 63 years was interesting. I have a couple examples of this specific contract and they are in great condition as well, but this one is hard to surpass.

The goatskin leather is in mint condition. All parts are genuine to the jacket. Mouton collar is immaculate and shows the original dark chocolate shade. Knits are pristine, which is very rare after all this time. Blackened Conmar zipper is mint.

This specific contract was the same often worn by President John F. Kennedy on his sailing escapades.
