Gents,
As promised, today I would like to share an original example of the Indian Orange Flite Wear flight suit made by Land Mfg Co. @Joe Land. These flight suits were issued to astronauts and test pilots during the 60’s. In fact, on several historical pictures they can be seen worn with some variations in design.
The construction of this specific example is quite similar to a K-2B Flying Suit. It features a rounded collar, snap closure waist adjusters, zippered cuffs and ankles, an orange cotton covered metal kneeboard clip at the front left thigh, and a multitude of Conmar zippered pockets throughout.
This example is in great condition, which is very rare, due to the nature of its service.
