ORIGINAL FLITE GEAR JACKET FROM BOEING 777 FLIGHT TEST TEAM

Gentlemen

Lately I’ve been very interested in flight test clothing and I received this example a couple weeks ago, it’s a Flite Gear jacket issued to Boeing Flight Test Team specifically to the 777 Team.

The jacket is adorned with Pratt & Whitney and Boeing Test Team patches. Outer shell is made of Nomex III and orange modacrylic flame resistant interior. (No interior pockets)

Double sided Scovill zipper on the front in case of use the reversible emergency side.

As a side note, this is the first flight test jacket from a commercial airplane that I’ve seen.

Jorge.. I got a kick out of the jacket label as I live about 20 miles from Mt. Sinai NY.. its on the eastern end of Long Island NY.. and a quick google search shows that Port Echo Awning is still in business.. I dont think they make jackets any longer...

Yes, that is correct @Boyo and unfortunately most of these companies that made flight jackets are already closed or shifted to different business, with few exceptions like Alpha Industries. Stay safe up there!!
