One of the last Cooper A2s made, Incredible Goatskin 44R New

I've listed this on Ebay as I thought it might sit in Buy/Sell for eons otherwise BUT this final variation Cooper A2 is rather unlike the vast majority of earlier Coopers in that it has a single side seam and is made of absolutely superb goatskin  I've put loads of pictures on the listing including close ups of the grain. It's also cut differently, no bat-wing effect like the earlier lighter brown Coopers from the 80s/90s.

It is thought these were made by a different manufacturer who bought the license from Neil Cooper after Neil Cooper Sportswear stopped trading but anyhow it's actually a pretty decent jacket.

I thought that was a trait of only the later Coopers; both examples of a civilian consumption Cooper A-2 (identical to yours shown here) and the original mil-spec modern issue from the 1988 contract that I have here don't have dual side seams.

If you look down the back panel of yours, is there an 'invisible' weld seam where two smaller panels of goatskin have been mated together and somehow glued/welded together? Its pretty well done, you'll only see it if the light hits it at the right angle. Curious to see if that was something they did on all Coopers of this type & age.

We can only hope that is one of the very last of the Coopers ever made. Just kidding. ;)

Can BK do a repro? Would this be considered an original contract and therefore qualify for the current special (Sorry Van & Otter)? Or would it be classified as a civilian and thus not even worthy of a response? :p

Your jacket looks solid. Good luck with the sale.

Certainly it is not beyond you to type the words "presently, I am laughing out loud"

Will I ever be safe from these emotiagoons? :D

Oh, and nice Cooper, I used to get these straight from Neil at 148- a piece. A great canvas for the money.
