Oops, I read it this way:
23 3/4 inches Rear collar seam down the center of the back to the end of the knit waistband.
in stead of:
Armpit seam to armpit seam.............23 3/4 inches Rear collar seam down the center of the back to the end of the knit waistband......26 inches

26 is good .
