The more you look around, the more you find...This is Freddie Lund (1897-1931), racer, stunter and test pilot, in a rather striking jacket with D-pocket design and a 2-tone effect that suggests cape-lined suede. Suppose it was reversible?

The rest of Freddie's getup mimicked Army pilots (he'd been one in WW1). He wore his wings on his shirt, I think before the Army did.

If memory serves, he was gassed (mustard) in the war, survived against the odds, but contracted TB as a result?
