Very Cool! Where did you get the pictures from Marcel? If that is all from one collection, it's pretty amazing!

Excellent collection, seems to have been a Pacific thing, unless the owners narrowed his search down to that area.

What a fantastic collection of bags. Thanks for posting. The artwork on some of those is more elaborate than I've ever seen on jackets

yes
those bags are splendid, really splendid.
but.... so splendid that sometimes i doubt of the authenticity.
were they painted in WW2 or postwar ?????
good question.
i have the same feeling regarding painted jacket.
difficult to know.
you just can trust the seller.
with such high price, i have no trust.

Hello,

Once again, thanks Marcel for sharing this !

Here is a B-4 I have in my collection.
No beautiful painting here but nice drawings indeed, a most of all, a nice identification too.

This bag belonged to T/Sgt Herbert WALTON.
He was flight engineer from the 837th Bomb Squadron, 487th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force.
He flew his 34 missions in the B-17 bomber named "Miss Bea Havin" and survived the war.

It was easy to find these informations, all was available on the site of the 487th Bomb Group !

This bag is not in good condition, and not really beautiful, but I really like it, as all identified items I have.

Tim.
