Brice, it’s self defense weapon carrying by Mi-24 pilot, their survival vest was specially designed for carry 45 round magazines and APS pistol.

Lessons still not learned!

As what I know, they learned lessons from Soviet military archives, the majority reason that caused their failure, is they have not completed Soviet plan ,either. And that plan can be found on internet, as late as 2010s.
